This kit can be used for original BROTHER cartridges, introductory cartridges, and compatible cartridges:

• Original BROTHER cartridges can be reset as many times as needed.
• Introductory cartridges (cartridges supplied with brand-new BROTHER printers) will require the installation of a Reset Gear after the 1st refill.
• Compatible cartridges can only be refilled once.

NOTE: The refilling procedure requires making a hole in the cartridge. An electric drill is not recommended; it is much easier and highly recommended that you use our specialized toner holemaking tool.
